Hybridization Effect on Crashworthiness Parameters of Natural Composite

The use of metallic materials in automotive industry leads to increasing fuel consumption and cost, so trends are starting lighter cheaper materials. In applications, fibers used composites because they stronger, stiffer, than bulk materials, can achieve higher energy absorbing compared purpose this work is study the potential utilization natural crash applications. experimental procedures (the principle a combination manual layup vacuum bladder technique) were applied search influence utilizing jute fiber mat on crashworthiness parameters composite with other kinds such as woven glass reinforced epoxy composites. involved corrugated tubes three layers hybrid glass-jute/epoxy material have been tested uniaxial quasi-static crush conditions at speed 10 mm/min. results exhibit that tube was somewhat lower synthetic fibers, but substitution one layer resulted an improvement parameters. As jute-glass used, best result obtained, where absorption specific improved by 17.75% 25.122%, respectively.
